How far we will go for our customers
In March, Display Director Adam Hillary travelled 6,650 miles to Hong Kong and then on to Changsha in Hunan on a mission to source new firework effects direct from manufacturers including Lidu and Asian Fireworks.

We place huge importance on investing time and financial resources to ensure that our displays continue to offer new elements and effects to our customers. And the trip was a huge success. Among the array of new effects discovered are Z Cakes, which create a stunning ‘zig-zag’ chase effect, horse’s tails, water cakes and a new range of colours including lemons, pinks and aqua.
Explaining why he ventured half way around the world, Adam said “it is worth every air mile when our customers ring to say they loved the new effects that were on their shows. Many hold annual events, like Derek Spence of East Ayrshire Council who entertain the same audience year on year. It’s really important that we are innovative, both in the materials we use, and the way we design the overall show. When we receive positive feedback from the audience we know we are doing our job to the best of our ability”.
