Reaction Fireworks was recently commissioned to supply a stunning 3 minute Firework Spectacular to signal the start of the ‘Illuminating Hadrian’s Wall’ event which took place at Segedunum on Saturday 13th March 2010.
Using their state of the art digital firing system, Reaction Fireworks created an impressive opening sequence consisting of a split second chase of 60 fountains, creating a ‘Line of Light’ covering 60 metres from a single flambé beacon to the site of the firework display.
Thousands of people attended this iconic occasion which marked the beginning of Hadrian’s Wall Heritage’s most ambitious event for 2010 and the first time the whole wall has been illuminated in over 1,600 years! The event is part of the culture10 world-class programme of festivals and events and celebrates the region’s beautiful landscape. It is hoped that the event will leave a lasting legacy and memory for the people of North East England.
